Mike May, P.E. is a Licensed Professional Petroleum Engineer and he is the owner of Limestone Oil Corporation.
Limestone Oil is focused on creating shallow oil and gas development drilling projects in areas of proven production, with multiple conventional oil targets. Limestone Oil is a prospect and project generator.
Mike May has over 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. His geographic experience includes oil and gas wells located in Texas, Louisiana, California, North Dakota, Washington, Wyoming, the Gulf of Mexico, Trinidad, Argentina, the United Kingdom, Romania, Azerbaijan, North Africa, Iraq, India, Vietnam, and Malaysia.
He has advised ExxonMobil, Shell, Apache, Conoco, Statoil Hydro, Newfield Exploration, Nexen Petroleum, Cairn Energy, Reliance Industries of India, and more than 50 smaller independent oil companies.
Mike has spoken to oil and gas industry audiences around the world from oil companies in Houston to the Geological Society of London to technology seminars in India. He has spoken about a wide range of advanced downhole technologies including formation fluid sampling and pressure testing.
Mike specializes in formation evaluation and while representing one of the big three service companies he was responsible for all electric wireline operations for a major international oil company with operations in 15 countries. Prior to that he performed over 700 open hole logging jobs in the field, analyzed thousands of formations, and helped clients assess the commercial viability of hundreds of wells by analyzing open hole logs at the casing point.
Mike is an expert in the computer modeling of downhole perforation performance. He has designed numerous perforating jobs from Texas to Iraq. Mike has experience in Petrophysics, Log Analysis, Downhole Formation Fluid Testing and Sampling, Electric Wireline Operations, Petroleum Geology, Reservoir Engineering, Drilling, Completions, Seismic and Geophysics.
Mike May received a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A & M University, cum laude.
